Welcome to my blog.
My online alias is DaCooksta, but my real name’s Anthony Cook. I’m a prominent member of the Sarcastic Gamer Community, and can be found on the Blue Screen of Death podcast (found on the Sarcastic Gamer Community Cast feed on iTunes). I frequently update My Twitter, and can be found on Facebook.
I am a nerd at heart, but try to balance my nerdy tendencies with social activities in real life. I’m a big fan of comic books, video games, and programming. I’m also involved in one of the best theater programs in the state and a very active church member.
I go to Shades Mountain Baptist Church, but prefer to call myself a Christian instead of a Baptist. I study the Bible and base my faith off of the teachings included in it instead of blindly following the doctrine handed down through the church. I don’t intend to mean that the church I attend is wrong, in fact, it’s an excellent Bible based institution. I just mean to say that I don’t use denominations to make myself feel correct and others wrong.
As far as gaming goes, I play primarily PC games. However, I also play Xbox 360 and Wii games from time to time. I play a wide variety of genres, and try to follow a “don’t bash it until you’ve tried it” principle in my gaming preferences.
I will be attending Auburn University in Alabama soon, and plan on majoring in Software Engineering. My goal is to one day be involved in the video game industry as a game designer.
